Hi, I’m Halle Dennis—founder of Special Kind of Care.

From a young age, I’ve always felt called to make a real impact—whether that’s on an individual, a family, or an entire community. I bring a high-energy, patient, and playful approach to everything I do, and I truly lead with my heart.

Before starting Special Kind of Care, I worked as a full-time nanny for two years and have spent nearly five years as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) in the ABA field. During that time, I worked with children ages 2–18, supporting a wide range of needs—from sensory-seeking behaviors to more complex challenges like aggression and non-compliance.

What stood out to me was the severe need for more support and help not just for the children, but for the parents as well. I saw parents constantly stretched thin... Missing self-care appointments… Struggling to split attention between siblings... Feeling overwhelmed in public spaces and needing just one extra set of hands—but not having access to support outside of clinical hours and really only trusting family members. 

As an RBT, I couldn’t step into those everyday moments… so I created something that could.

Special Kind of Care was built to provide flexible, personalized support that meets families where they are—at home or out in the community. I’m confident in my ability to build meaningful connections with every child I work with, while keeping them safe, supported, and understood.

This isn’t just childcare—it’s care designed with intention, experience, and heart.
